Devin Sawyer enters his second season as an Assistant with the Herons. Coach Sawyer works with hitters, coaches first base, recruits, and assists with game planning at Great Bay. Sawyer starred as a RHP at Ayer-Shirley High School in Massachusetts, where he was a four year member of their varsity team. After graduating, he went on to pitch at Southern Maine Community College for two years, where he struck out 50 hitters in 48.2 career innings as a starting pitcher. Coach Sawyer brings his experience with travel ball organizations, deep connections in New England, and familiarity with the Yankee Small College Conference. He currently has an Associates Degree in Sport Management from Southern Maine Community College, and can often be seen running pick up basketball games on campus.
