Great Bay Community College Dominates NHTI, 12-0
Portsmouth, N.H. — Great Bay Community College delivered a commanding performance on Friday afternoon, shutting out NHTI 12-0 at Leary Field.
Great Bay set the tone early, scoring three runs in the first inning and adding single runs in both the second and third to build a 5-0 lead. The game broke open in the fifth inning when Great Bay erupted for seven runs, capitalizing on walks, timely hitting, and defensive miscues.
Leading the offensive charge was Landon Wolusky, who went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs. Rhett Dyer scored three runs and added a double while swiping two bases, and Miles Murray contributed a triple, two runs scored, and an RBI. Collin McGovern and Preston Hutchings also drove in runs as part of a balanced offensive effort that produced seven hits and eight walks.
On the mound, Hayden Hundley was dominant, tossing a complete-game shutout. He allowed just two hits over seven innings while striking out eight and walking four.
For NHTI, Charles Hibbert and Killian Gauthier accounted for the team's only hits. Travis Graf took the loss, allowing five runs over four innings, while Nate Mattson worked two innings in relief.
Great Bay finished with 12 runs on seven hits and committed no errors, while NHTI was held scoreless on two hits and committed four errors.
With the win, Great Bay continues to build momentum as the season progresses.

Central Maine Community College Defeats Great Bay Community College, 14-0
Portsmouth, N.H. — Central Maine Community College erupted for 14 runs on 12 hits to defeat Great Bay Community College 14-0 on Saturday afternoon at Leary Field.
After two scoreless innings, Central Maine broke through in the third inning behind a two-run home run from Ty Bernier. The visitors then put the game out of reach in the fourth inning, scoring eight runs on a combination of timely hits and defensive miscues.
Bernier finished with two RBIs and two runs scored, while Garren Post added two hits and three RBIs. Jake Calver contributed two hits, including a double, and drove in a run, and Zac Gorman chipped in with an RBI as part of a balanced offensive attack. Central Maine also applied pressure on the basepaths, stealing multiple bases throughout the game.
On the mound, Central Maine's pitching staff was dominant. Augustino Bonadie earned the start and allowed just one hit over four scoreless innings, while Zach Norander and Spencer Chartier combined to complete the one-hit shutout, striking out eight and working around four walks.
Great Bay was limited to a single hit on the afternoon, coming from Miles Murray, who also drew a walk. The home team struggled defensively, committing seven errors that contributed to the lopsided result.
Collin McGovern took the loss on the mound, allowing seven runs (three earned) over 3.2 innings. Ethan Gamez provided relief, while Rhett Dyer and AJ Francisco also saw time on the mound.
Central Maine added three more runs in the seventh inning to cap the scoring and secure the shutout victory.
With the win, Central Maine continues to build momentum, while Great Bay looks to regroup heading into its next contest.
